Tuberculosis Screening and Testing

UNM SHAC strongly supports the use of Tuberculosis screening of all incoming students (and testing where indicated) as a strategy for controlling and preventing infection in the college population. SHAC follows recommendations and guidelines provided by the American College Health Association (ACHA). ¹

Incoming students should answer the questions in the TB Screening Questionnaire.

If any answer on the TB Screening Questionnaire is “yes,” SHAC recommends that these students make an appointment with the SHAC Allergy and Immunization Clinic. 

1. To make an appointment, call 505-277-3136, and ask for an Allergy and Immunization appointment for TB testing.
   
   
2. To speak with a Registered Nurse (RN) about TB screening and testing, please call the Allergy and Immunization Clinic directly, 505-277-7925
