Student to Student - Take Advantage of SHAC Services!

June 7, 2022 - Lizbeth Olivarez

Hello All,

Lizbeth Olivarez is standing outdoors and smiling for the camera. My name is Lizbeth Olivarez, and use She/Her pronouns. I am the newest member of the SHAC Health Promotion Team, as the Outreach Health Assistant. I look forward to collaborating with everyone to coordinate events that value student wellness and education, while gaining experience!

Currently, I am pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Population Health with a minor in Community Health Education. During my first year at UNM, I was active in the College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP). Additionally, I had been able to build my research experience as an El Puente Research Fellow throughout my sophomore year. This campus involvement has allowed me to become engaged with my community and distinguish my passions and long-term goals.

As an undergraduate student, I have recognized my physical, mental, and sexual health continue to fluctuate constantly, along with my peers. Thus, I find it essential to continue strengthening existing student resources to target these various aspects. I am excited to be a part of the Health Promotion team, as it prioritizes public health and puts primary prevention into action for the UNM student population!

I encourage my peers to take advantage of the services SHAC has to offer and visit our events around campus. I will see you around Lobos! Cheers!
