What is Monkeypox?

Symptoms

Symptoms include fever, headache, swollen lymph nodes, body aches, and a rash. For more info, see American Medical Assoc website.

Treatment

Currently there are no specific treatments. In consultation with CDC, certain patients may be candidates for antiviral or antibody treatment. For info, see AMA website.

Prevention

Avoid contact with infected people, animals or materials. There is a vaccine that provides some protection; however, it is not currently available for general use.
