X-Ray
SHAC clinics are supported by an X-ray unit that is dedicated to meeting a student's diagnostic needs. X-rays are performed at the request of a practitioner.
SHAC has a state-of-the-art X-ray machine from Siemens Healthcare called Multix Fusion.
This complete X-ray system offers many outstanding features:
Improved Patient Safety: The equipment works around the patient, so the patient will be more comfortable during the examination. The table provides 660 lb weight capacity and allows full functionality of positioning the table, from table lift and panning.
Improved Patient Satisfaction: Patients benefit from fast image processing that reduces exam times and allows for quicker diagnosis. Post-processing solution automatically improves image contrast and detail for outstanding image quality in all kinds of radiography exams.
Improved Operational Efficiency and Consistency: Exam setup is automatically loaded to achieve the desired image quality, at the lowest possible dose.
State of the Art Technology: Multix Fusion’s detector with cesium iodide (CsI) scintillator material allows a significant reduction in dose compared to CR cassettes – while increasing image quality. A single point of contact workstation manages an entire examination and workflow – from registration to documentation.
