Student Health Leadership Council

Student GroupAre you interested in health issues concerning UNM students? Do you want to make a difference on your campus? Students who participate in the Student Health Leadership Council (SHLC) have the opportunity to interact with the SHAC Director, clinical providers, and administrative staff to help shape SHAC's future program development. In addition, the SHLC works with SHAC to develop innovative solutions that keep students healthy throughout their college experience.

Because UNM SHAC is partially funded by student fees, we welcome student input on all levels. Through our student partnership with UNM SHLC, we are able to hear your voice on how to deliver services to the campus community; and, as Committee members, students can weigh in on how SHAC spends its resources to keep students healthy.

There is no application or prior experience necessary. All students are welcome to join the Council, make friends, have their voice be heard, and build their resumes. Not to mention, each member receives a free T-shirt!

If you are interested in joining, please attend our next meeting (and lunch is on us)! All meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of the month (during Fall and Spring Semesters) from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM in our conference room (#234).

UNM SHAC is located east of the SUB and north of Johnson Center. If you are looking for additional information about the group, call SHAC at 277-1074 or stop by the SHAC Health Education Department on the second floor.
