Since 2001, Dr. Olmstead has sub-specialized in International Travel Medicine. She has been providing consultative services to patients, medical professionals and companies regarding International Travel Health and Pandemic Planning and Awareness Education. Dr. Olmstead received the Certificate of Knowledge in Travel Health administered by the International Society of Travel Medicine in 2005.  Her article, “The Traveling Patient” was published in the Journal of Urgent Care Medicine in 2010. She has been invited to present international travel medicine topics at local and national medical conferences. She has received awards including the 2007 Top Docs Award for Internal Medicine by the Albuquerque Magazine and the 2011 New Mexico Immunization Coalition (NMIC) Immunization Champion in New Mexico. She received the NM Business Weekly Women of Influence Honoree Award in 2012 and she received the Top Docs Award for Preventive Medicine in 2015.
